In this episode, we'll discuss some reasons why many people go through an intense period of reevaluating & questioning their Christian faith. It's been popular recently to call this experience "deconstruction," but what causes deconstruction? Is it a normal part of intellectual & personal development? Are there ways of doing it that are more healthy than others?

Thanks for introducing Kegan’s model for mental development and how they may relate to a Christians search for meaning along their journey. For several years, I believe I’ve found myself in the fourth order, working across categories with a close friend from a different tradition, and while I have felt the need to deconstruct my faith, I certainly have needed to reinforce the structure of my faith in areas I hadn’t prodded in many years.
